How To Be Free Of Acne Marks

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Nothing is worse than a face full of zits. This is why so many of us struggle to fight back acne pimples as best we can. We commonly adhere to daily regimes of cleansing, toning and applying acne creams and gels.

Anything that will suppress the burden is known as zits. What about the numerous blemishes that we’ve already tangled with? Sure, it’s great to prevent new breakouts from forming, but some past breakouts may have left nasty aftermath behind. I’m referring to scars and red spots. How does one get rid of acne scars for good? Well, don’t fret! It can be done.

As anyone who’s ever had a pimple knows, acne can leave behind nasty scars. Therefore it’s your job to prevent acne scars from forming. However, you might already have a few from past breakouts. This is where treatments such as microderm abrasion come in.

This popular cosmetic procedure can seriously reduce and get rid of acne scars. It basically works as a rapid exfoliator. Sand particles are sprayed onto small areas of the face with a nifty little device.

This sloughs away dead skin cells and allows the fresh epidermis to surface. This process will dramatically reduce signs of scarring after several treatments. But that’s not what makes it so phenomenal.

Unlike chemical peels, microderm abrasion will not leave your face bright red and sensitive. You can literally leave just as you came in. Well, except for the fact that your mug will be a bit smoother and more radiant than ever before. Even those who lack acne scars can benefit from this procedure.

There are several ways to get rid of acne scars, but your best bet is prevention. This is not only the cheapest route, but it’s also the key to great skin. One way you can prevent future breakouts and not be burdened with the process of getting rid of acne scars is through a good skin care regimen and a healthy diet.

It is best to know your skin type and treat it right. You should visit a dermatologist immediately if you suffer from severe breakouts and acne blemishes. You should also maintain a healthy diet with foods high in nutrients, but low in fat, sodium and sugar as these can all inflict a mess on your complexion. Of course, never forget cleansing and applying the right treatments daily. A beautiful skin gives you a good, vibrant life.

Treating Acne

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

It is very natural for people to want to look good whatever age they are in even if sometimes it is impossible to achieve this at all times , so when acne strikes, it is disheartening for them. Most people experience this at one time or another but acne problems is commonly at its worst during teenage years. Teenagers, who are mostly concerned primarily in their looks, would do almost anything to get rid of acnes and would try various medications to achieve it. Therefore, it is important that they find the right acne treatments which are suitable for them and provide the best solution to this kind of problem.

What type of acne treatment someone might want to use will depend greatly on how bad the acne problem really is for each person. Some people just have a few blemishes to worry about, and others have acne so bad it produces scarring that can last for the rest of their lives.

Acne is often a result of hormonal changes, and has nothing to do with what someone eats, though many believe that myth. When a teenager hits puberty, the severity of their acne problems will come into focus. Some get lucky and need no acne treatments, but the rest are not quite as fortunate.

Acne treatments for those with just a few blemishes or pimples to deal with are going to be rather easy. There are many great face washes out there that can keep the skin clean. This might not stop all pimples from forming, but it can help keeping many away. What is important is to use it twice a day. This can be a problem for some teens, as they forget to do it after a while. Repeated breakouts may inspire them to keep up the routine, but sometimes parents have to remind them to keep their acne treatments up each day.

For those with more severe problems, acne treatments may have to come from a doctor. Some of these treatments for acne are going to be prescriptions, and are going to be very powerful. A doctor will decide if the child needs this strong of an acne treatment or not. In some cases, over the counter remedies can work, even when it seems nothing has helped thus far. Parents may have to monitor prescription treatments for acne to be sure teens are using them correctly and that the other children in the house are not getting into them.

Look For Acne Treatments That Work

Monday, November 9th, 2009

A lot of people think of acne as just one of those annoying things that everyone has to go to in adolescence, but for some people it is much worse. Acne treatments are usually simply a convenience – something to make pimply teens feel better about the way they look – but if you have severe scarring acne, they are a necessity.

Bad acne sometimes is something that will not go away on its own without proper care and treatment. It can definitely leave scars on the face that can last for the rest of your life if it is so severe.

That doesn’t mean that every acne treatment has to be drastic. A lot of people get by with pretty simple acne treatments using little more than soap, water, and common sense. When my best friend in high school came down with a bad acne breakout, his mom put him on a strict diet. He ate a lot of fruits and vegetables, cut out all processed foods, and gave up beef and fatty meats.

In addition, he got an acne cleanser – basically rubbing alcohol with a little mojo – and took to washing his face three or four times a day. His face cleared up within a week, all without the use of any drastic acne treatments.

My case was different. I got little benefit from facial cleansers and soaps. Although eating badly made my acne worse, eating well did not make it much better. My mom was getting worried that I would get scars, so she took me to the dermatologist.

The doctor was glad that I had come in. Apparently, acne scar treatment is a whole lot more difficult than treating the acne itself before it gets to that point. He provided a facial cream called Retin-A, and told me to come back if the problem did not go away.

In the beginning, I was doubtful that things would improve or get better. Things had hardly improved after four days of using his prescribed acne treatments and it made me more skeptical. Nevertheless, I decided to be patient and gave it another week. Little by little my face started to improve and looked much better.

The cream did not work by itself, but with the aid of careful eating habits and frequent facial cleansing, it did the job. Soon, I was almost entirely pimple free. I still had to watch out for occasional breakouts, but after going to the doctor, it was never that bad anymore.
